THE FIEFDOM OF RUSTICA
NORTH RUSTICAN CUISINE
The northern regions of Rustica are known worldwide for being home to the best fishermen and sailors.
Every successful catch opens up countless possibilities for the preparation of fish dishes.
Among the Rustican Commonfolk, fried coastal herring is particularly popular as it is very cheap.
In the noble inns and fine dining establishments of North Rustica,
it is mainly silver salmon and goldfinned carp that are served, usually with a glass of Uva.
The goldfinned carp is one of the favourite dishes of the royal family and is very much loved
by locals and visitors and has made north Rustican cuisine extremely famous.
It is not without reason that two goldfinned carps proudly grace the flag of Rustica.
SOUTH RUSTICAN DISHES
In the southern villages and towns of Rustica it smells deliciously of savoury stews.
All the ingredients were previously planted, cultivated and harvested by the inhabitants
of South Rustica themselves in the many fields and meadows.
With every bite you taste the love with which the dishes are being prepared here.
Especially popular is the famous lamb and vegetable stew,
which is left simmering for two days to develop its incomparable taste.
Lentil and potatoe soups are also popular with locals and visitors alike,
with a good slice of bread and a tasty glass of Flavo.
